Dome Stickers
Doming stickers involves coating a sticker or label with liquid Polyurethane resin prepared by either digital or foil process. The liquid covers the label and forms a resin dome.The transparent polyurethane coating makes dome stickers more durable than regular stickers and UV resistant, making them suitable for outdoor use. This resistance to damage also means that dome stickers will last for a longer period than regular stickers.
How are dome stickers made?
Stickers are printed in batches on press sheets and are made up of three elements: The first layer is the material that the sticker will be printed on, which can be any type of industry standard printing material. The second layer of the sticker is the ink. This will consist of text or graphics, depending on design for the sticker. The ink will then be left for a period to dry. The sticker or label will then be cut out and the excess material between the stickers on the sheet will be removed.
The polyurethane coating is then applied to the labels on the sheet and left to dry.
