The Advantages of Magnetic Vehicle Signs

Vehicle magnetic signs turn a car, truck, bus, van or trailer into a magnetic advertising mobile sign. What’s more is that you can remove them easily giving you a business vehicle during the week and private vehicle on the weekend. Magnetic signs are excellent for improving the look of a personal vehicle or an entire commercial fleet while maintaining the ease of a one-minute-removal.

Magnetic signs are made of a magnetic backing with high quality vinyl design adhered to the front side of the magnet. Depending on the design, the vinyl adhered can be a full sheet of digitally printed vinyl or cut vinyl decals placed on the magnetic sheet.

Customary placement of magnetic signs include the right front door, left front door, or back of the vehicle. Magnetic signs should never be placed on fresh paint (allow at least 2 months for paint to cure.) When mounting magnetic signs, ensure that both the vehicle surface and the magnet surface is clean of any foreign particles. Even if a small amount of dirt is left on the surface it might damage/scratch the vehicle’s paint work.

Cleaning magnetic signs is extremely easy, simply use any household cleaner and a soft cloth. Wet the cloth or sponge and wipe down the sign. Always remove magnetic signs before taking the vehicle through any car wash. Also remember to occasionally remove the sign and wash underneath the magnet.

Removing a magnetic sign is simple. Start at one side of the sign, lift off and slowly pull back.

Magnetic signs should always be stored on a steel surface or laid flat. Never roll up magnetic signs for long periods of time, as they will preserve the rolled shape and will not stay flat on the surface of your vehicle. Also do not store your magnetic signs back to back as they will lose their magnetic adhesion, rather store them on a flat metal surface like the side of your fridge.
